MANY LITTLE BROTHERS ARE WATCHING YOU

Jay Walker's latest brainchild is a network of AI-monitored webcams hitched through a central security centre to a team of mildly trained ordinary citizens a million strong, in order to guard so called "soft targets" like civilian chemical plants or water treatment facilities against terrorists, hooligans and vandals of all stripes. Singapore is reportedly implementing a system to monitor people detained due to SARS quarantines via webcams in the home. It is alleged that Britain is unreportedly co-opting London's traffic watching jamcams for the covert surveillance (and possible identification) of communists, social malcontents and pink hippies. Enthusiasts like Cammunity want to see webcams everywhere, at work and at play. This is becoming a very watched world. Webcams are no longer just about fish and pussy, apparently.
